Victoria Day, also known as May Two-Four, May Long, and May Long Weekend, marks the end of the winter and the unofficial start of the spring or summer season. This holiday, which is only celebrated in Canada and Scotland, began as a celebration to honour Queen Victoria’s birthday. The British queen was born on May 24, 1819.
